Members and Guests will find many opportunities for group exercise through the full range of exercise classes offered by our professional, well-trained instructors. Most classes are one hour long. several different Body ConditioningThis conditioning class prepares the body for the demands of upright posture, developing an important blend of balance, muscle strength, endurance and flexibility. Join this class to ensure greater efficiency when executing daily activities and to provide overall strengthening. Triple 'S'Triple 'S' refers to: SWEAT, STRENGTH and STRETCH, with equal attention devoted to each component. Start the class with low impact aerobics, followed by weight training for all major muscle groups, and finish with a total stretch to ease tension and tightness. This class is well worth adding to your fitness routine. Power StretchAn energizing stretch class that incorporates modified yoga postures. The focus is on flexibility, breathing, alignment, posture, and relaxation. Take time to lengthen and stretch - an often neglected component of fitness! AeroflexThis class emphasizes proper technique and strengthening exercises using a variety of dumbbells. Challenge all your major muscle groups! A short aerobic and stretching segment is included also. Aeroflex continues to be a favourite choice of many, and burns a lot of calories. Step ConditioningThis class starts with cardio and fat burning work using the step. All
choreography Strength & StretchClass emphasizes exercise to improve strength, good posture and flexibility. The workout starts out with weights, lunges, squats, and standing balance in a variety of positions. Classes finish with an intensive, thorough and relaxing stretch. WalkoutEveryone likes to workout ... well we've introduced walkout, a routine designed to add intensity and variety to your walking program. Moves focus on walking, skips, little hops, knees up, backwards and sideways motions to challenge and invigorate. This class is perfect for anyone who doesn't like tricky choreography, but enjoys working out with others. Classes end with a relaxing and calming stretch. Cardio KickboxFeatures kicks, punches and martial arts with aerobic moves. Cardio Kickbox may be completed in a continuous training format or alternate periods of high intensity work with recovery. This workout is a terrific calorie burner, a means of developing increased stamina and a great stress reliever! Afternoon Shape-UpIncludes low impact aerobics, strengthening and a relaxing stretch. The class formats change occasionally, when weight training or step aerobics may be featured. Step AerobicsStep aerobics provides high intensity, low impact cardiovascular training. Step continues to be a favourite of many as an effective workout! Follow up the cardio section with torso strengthening and end with a soothing stretch. Combo ImpactGet ready to workout! This is an upbeat class consisting of a perfect mix of high and low aerobics moves. Classes include torso strengthening and a stretch. Recommended for regular to advanced exercisers. Low ImpactA high-intensity, low-impact class without jumping movements that is designed as a great workout for all fitness levels. Join this class for effective cardiovascular conditioning and calorie burning. Special ClassOffered several times a month as a change to routinely scheduled classes. Boot CampBoot Camp is an advanced workout with cardio drills and a strength workout. The class alternates high intensity work with recovery periods to improve both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, while improving strength, balance and coordination. No tricky choreography involved. Intervals of step cardio are repeatedly alternated with strength work. This class is sure to deliver results! Swap ClassTwo instructors teach the class for double the fun. Start with one instructor and then change over to the other instructor for a different emphasis in your workout. Low Impact or Step Aerobics may be swapped with weight training. A definite challenge for all fitness levels. Latin Dance WorkoutPut some sizzling salsa into your program! This class is guaranteed to motivate you and get you moving!
